We are in our
59th year of service to the community surrounding Libertytown and
Unionville. We meet on the first and third Tuesdays of each month
at the Libertytown Methodist Church Hall on Main Street. Dinner meetings start promptly at 7:00 PM.
We are located in the central part of Maryland in Frederick
County approximately 15 miles east of the county seat, Frederick
City. The area is primarily agricultural with gentle
rolling hills. We are a growing community attracting
families from the Baltimore-Washington, D. C. areas.
Libertytown and Unionville are approximately 3 miles apart both
located on Maryland State Route 26. The area is served by
Liberty Elementary School,
and Linganore Middle and Senior High Schools.
This Website is here to help you, the visitor,
learn about us as a club as well as the goals of Lions
International. As you navigate this website you will find that
we serve a great many people and organizations in our area as well as those throughout the world by
supporting the many projects sponsored by Lions Club
International.
To do this we must raise funds and you will find out how
we do this. We work hard but have a lot of fun in the process. If you
are a part of this community and share our desire "to serve" , please
contact us. We would be happy to have you attend one of our dinner
meetings so that we can get to know each other.
To the left you will
find eleven link bars. Click on them will take you to other pages in
our web site. The twelfth (at the top) is the Home link
bar where you are now. The labels are chosen to be
self-explanatory. On other pages there are Home bars to bring you back to this page. On some
pages there are additional link bars to take you to pages related
specifically to
that page.
On these
pages you will also find an Up link bar which will return you to
the page you previously visited.
