Lions Clubs
International (LCI) establishes the rules of organization for all Lions
Clubs. You will note that there are three vice-presidents. This allows
Lions to step through the three vice-presidencies where, at each step,
they will be taking on more and varied responsibilities so that when
they reach "their" year as King Lion, they will be fully capable of
taking on the duties of President. In addition, the Membership
Chairperson is of officer rank recognizing that the task of growing the
membership is of critical importance to sustain the effectiveness of
each club.
There are two functional divisions: Activities and Administrative.
Each has specific committees set up to make it function efficiently and
smoothly. Each also is funded and accounted for separately.
Because we are a non-profit service club, monies received and expended
for our "We Serve" programs and charitable causes both local and world
wide are accounted for in the Activities Account.
All costs associated
with club administration, such as rent, meals, supplies and services for
the Club Newsletter, etc. are accounted for in the Administrative
Account. It is a stated goal that monies in the Activities account
be expended fully each year.
You can visit our
Activities page to learn how we fund
our "We Serve" projects.
Funding for the Administrative Account comes
from member dues, stunts such as 50-50s, and Tail Twister fines, etc.
